We are looking to appoint a permanent Specialty Doctor in the the Crisis/Home Treatment Team to commence as soon as possible.
The Crisis/Home Treatment Team provides support, assessment and treatment for individuals experiencing an acute relapse of their Mental Health with the aim of providing safe alternatives to Acute admission. The Crisis/Home Treatment Team is complemented by the Support and Recovery Service and provides locality care and activity in the least restrictive environment as near to the patients home as possible.The teams are multi-professional with nurses, social workers, support workers, psychology, Occupational therapy and team managers.
Main duties of the job
Swansea Bay University NHS Health Board provides a broad range of community and inpatient services. The Health Board is one of the largest in Wales and the UK. The Mental Health Directorate is responsible for providing Adult Mental Health Services, Older People Mental Health Services, Substance Misuse Services, Forensic Psychiatry and Rehabilitation & Recovery Services.
We are looking for an enthusiastic applicant to join the Crisis Resolution/Home Treatment Team (CRHTT) based at the Orchard Centre, Swansea. The contract will be permanent and 10 sessions per week.

We are a University Health Board working in partnership with Swansea University, Swansea School of Medicine, the School of Health Science and the Institute of Life Science. The HB has three major hospitals providing a range of services: Morriston and Singleton hospitals in Swansea and Neath Port Talbot hospital in Baglan, Port Talbot.
Mental Health and learning Disabilities services are provided both in hospital settings (Cefn Coed Hospital, SwanseaCaswell clinic and Taith Newydd at Glanrhyd Bridgend) and other community settings.
We also have community hospital and primary care resource centres providing clinical services outside the main hospitals.
Swansea is Wales' second-largest city, and sits on the five-mile sweep of Swansea Bay. An ideal base for exploring South-West Wales, there is also much on offer for visitors in Swansea itself. Swansea has a range of shops, cosy cafes, great restaurants, art galleries as well as being able to offer good outdoor lifestyle with its beautiful coastline and beaches on the Gower Peninsula.
