Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a Receptionist/Clerk, Band 2, to join the Phlebotomy team at Swansea Bay University Health Board.

Applications are invited from enthusiastic and well-motivated individuals for this post. The post holder will work as part of a team delivering support services for phlebotomists within the department.

The post holder will carry out a range of duties to enable the smooth running of the department. Duties will include managing phlebotomy appointments, enquires from patients/clinical colleagues and stock management.

There are various Hospital sites within SBUHB, but this post is primarily forourMorriston,Singletonand Neath/Port Talbotsites, along with the phlebotomy hubs at Swansea city centre, Gorseinon hospital and Neath/Port Talbot resource centre.

The post holder will work in a busy environmentand will be required to work in the area of most need.

Data entry experience isdesirable for this role, keyboard skills essential.

The ability to travel between sites in a timely manner is essential.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply

The post holder will provide administrative / reception service support to Phlebotomy Service.facilitate and ensure the smooth, efficient and effective running of the

To be able to communicate effectively with all members ofstaff and patients, whilst being sensitive to patients' needs.

The post holder will work across Services to provide administrative and reception support such as the booking in of patients, booking of future blood tests, retrieving clinical information regarding range or number of samples required from electronic database.
