Job summary

Fixed term / secondment for 12 months due to funding

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person with an interest in developing their public health career to join our ambitious team.

We are looking for a Project Manager to join us on a fixed-term basis to support the delivery of the Welsh Network of Healthy Schools Scheme.

As part of the Healthy Schools team, the successful applicant will contribute to the planning, implementation and evaluation of the Swansea Bay Healthy Schools Scheme including the Whole School Approach to Emotional and Mental Wellbeing. The team is part of the SBUHB Public Health Team and works with Public Health Wales, Swansea and Neath Port Talbot local authorities and other key partners to deliver the scheme.

The applicant will have substantial experience and knowledge of current education policy including Curriculum for Wales and public health/health improvement context and ways of working. The successful applicant will support a cohort of schools with their health and wellbeing agenda and contribute to the planning and delivery of training sessions along with engagement with partners.

Main duties of the job

The Project Manager will lead the management of specific projects as delegated across the organisation in collaboration with colleagues and partners.

The post holder will be expected to lead, deliver, and manage projects autonomously within the delegated parameters
