Main duties of the job

Swansea Bay Health Board is specifically recruiting 2 x MALE ONLY applicants in keeping with the positive action provision within the Equality Act 2010 order to meet Service user need and employee safety. We reserve the right to close this vacancy before the closing date if a large number of applications are received.

The Specialist Residential Services provide longer-term, evidence based services in line with the principles of positive behavioural support and are committed to reducing restrictive practices.

The post-holder will be:

Responsible for the promotion of Independence and Wellbeing, involving Service Users in their care, encouraging independence and supporting them to improve and maintain their mental and physical health and wellbeing.

Will also be required to assist the Registered nurses in the assessing, planning, management and evaluation of care.

Work as an effective member of the team, actively promoting good team relationships.

Communicate effectively with patients and relatives and overcome barriers to effective communication in a manner which is sensitive to Service User needs.
