Job summary
The post holder will provide administrative support to facilitate and ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the Child Health System (CYPrIS)
The post holder will work flexibly within the team, providing administrative support to a range of population based Health Programmes for children (e.g immunisation, Healthy Child Wales, Childhood Measurement etc.).
This is a high volume, data processing role. The post holder will be required to demonstrate an interest in data quality, and will need to maintain focus on attention to detail throughout the working day.
Main duties of the job
We have a vacancy for a Band 2 Clerical Officer within the Child Health System Support Team, based at Central Clinic, Swansea. This team provides essential support to the Childhood Immunisation, Screening and Surveillance programmes offered to the local children, and also to the Professional Staff responsible for delivering the services.
The post is full time , hours of duty are Monday to Friday 08.30 to 16.30
The role involves high volume data processing, with a focus on data quality - and the ability to pay attention to details is essential. candidates must also possess excellent communication and organisational skills, and be able to demonstrate enthusiasm, motivation and flexibility in their approach towards work. Basic keyboard skills and the ability to work to targets are also required.
A minimum of 5 GCSE's or equivalent are required, or alternatively candidates must be able to demonstrate a sound and relevant clerical background.
Previous clerical experience within the NHS involving regular data processing duties would be advantageous
