CEPOD Team Leader Band 6- This post is open to RGN and RODP applicants.
An opportunity has arisen for a motivated, registered, experienced scrub practitioner with experience in emergency surgery to join our busy team within the Theatre department as a Band 6 Scrub Team Leader working across Swansea Bay UHB Theatres, who shares the Values and Behaviours of the Health Board
The post holder will be required to supervise within the team to assess, develop, implement and evaluate perioperative patient care on a daily basis and works closely with all disciplines to ensure the effective running of the CEPOD emergency theatres within the Theatre department at Morriston Hospital, within set guidelines and to deputise for the Speciality Manager.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be required to provide specialist scrub assistance in their speciality theatres, managing their own workload and supervise the work of others within the team.
The post holder will be involved in deployment, supervision and teaching of staff within the clinical area and support the Speciality Manager in providing clinical and managerial leadership to Theatre Practitioners and Theatre Assistants.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
