Job summary
We have an excellent opportunity within our friendly department for an enthusiastic and motivated pharmacy technician to join our friendly team delivering a high quality service to our patients at Cefn Coed Hospital.
The successful candidate will work within the dispensary , on wards on site and off site. They will also have the opportunity to work with the community mental health teams. The post holder will be involved in the delivery of a wide range of pharmacy services including dispensing, accredited checking, medicines management .
It is essential that you have NVQ level 3 in pharmacy services and / or BTEC or equivalent qualification and current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council. Previous hospital experience is not essential as training will be provided.
If you have the ability to work using your own initiative, have good communication skills, a high level of accuracy and are keen to develop your skills this is the job for you!
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will work within the dispensary in Cefn Coed hospital, and provide services to wards both on site and off site, including adult mental health, older peoples mental health, forensics and learning disabilities. The post holder will be involved in the delivery of a wide range of pharmacy services including dispensing, accredited checking, medicines management .
They will work with the community mental health teams to ensure ordering and use of depot antipsychotics, and homecare prescriptions are well managed.
They will also be involved in clozapine clinics, helping to ensure patients have appropriate counselling and monitoring.
