Job summary
Applications are invited for a substantive Consultant in Restorative Dentistry and/or Endodontology. Currently up to 5 sessions are available for the replacement of recently vacant position. This is an exciting opportunity to join our team in the delivery of high quality restorative dental care to patients requiring complex treatments and also support the delivery of intermediate (tier 2) endodontic services.
Main duties of the job
The job involves clinical work predominantly in specialist endodontics but will also support the care of multidisciplinary patients requiring complex endodontics particularly dental trauma. In addition, the post holder will also be involved in the treatment planning and treatments of complex endodontic dental cases referred from the GDS and CDS. The applicant must have clinical experience in these areas as well as effective communication skills. The post requires close collaboration with allied specialties and the post holder will need to be a committed 'team player'.
The successful candidate would have the opportunity to help develop and deliver postgraduate dental courses run by the department for the development of dentists with enhanced skills and other dental trainees.
The post is based at Neath Port Talbot Resource Centre with sessions also delivered from the Morriston Hospital.
