Provide strategic professional leadership to the pharmacy department ensuring pharmacy teams deliver safe, efficient and standardised services.

Shape the future workforce, working collaboratively with partners including HEIW to develop and deliver a clear vision for pharmacy workforce transformation aligned to A Healthier Wales and prudent healthcare principles.

Drive clinical excellence and innovation, ensuring pharmacy services continue to evolve to support modern models of care and deliver measurable improvements in quality, safety and efficiency.

Lead pharmacy services within the Unscheduled Care Group

Main duties of the job

This is a senior healthcare professional providing leadership and management to healthcare staff providing operational pharmacy services to CTMUHB. The post holder will have a particular focus on providing high quality, safe, well-governed, productive and cost-effective services which support the UHB in delivering its strategic objectives.

This role will provide compassionate and inclusive leadership to those within their areas of responsibility. In addition, there will be joint responsibility and accountability within the Medicines Management Senior Management Team (SMT) for delivering, patient safety, financial targets, efficiencies, workforce planning and service delivery to improve safe patient flow within and outside the directorate.

Provide oversight and assurance for the delivery of pharmacy workforces' training, development and transformation.
