Job summary

To provide a fully integrated nursing service in the Acute and Community sectors, working in partnership to provide a high quality sustainable service for Neonates and their carers within Cwm Taf University Health Board.

The Post Holder will be required to ensure the highest standard of specialist patient care, which reflects the quality of standards and mission of the Health Board, and contribute to the implementation of policies and procedures within the sphere of responsibility.

The Post Holder will be required to carry out a range of assigned tasks involving direct and indirect care for the benefit of babies and their carers' in accordance with agreed protocols.

Welsh Skills Desirable: This post is advertised as Welsh Desirable. This doesn't mean essential; whilst the candidate doesn't need to have skills in Welsh, we'll consider it an advantage when short-listing and selecting candidates. This isn't 'fluency', just Speaking & Listening skills at Level 3 (equivalent to CEFR B2) or above. Level 3 means basic conversations with patients about their everyday health. Main duties of the job

We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Band 5 staff nurses to join our team. Based on the Neonatal Unit in Prince Charles Hospital the successful candidates will have the opportunity to work in the specialty of neonates as part of the nursing team and across both sites which includes Princess of Wales Hospital.
