The Lower Limb Podiatry Clinical Lead post is a valued member of the Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board (CTMUHB) Podiatry and Orthotics Services leadership Team. This role is pivotal to strengthen the team whilst the service goes through transformational change.
The successful candidate will be responsible for Lower Limb Services. They will provide operational and professional leadership to the clinical teams, ensuring delivery of an equitable service. Service scope is across the whole CTM area and linking with Swansea Bay through the SLA for Community Podiatry Services. The role will require the identification of need, evaluation of priorities and embedding performance management to ensure delivery in line with Governance, Professional and Clinical Standards, Prudent and Value Based Healthcare Principles.
The department encourages individual development and supports professional education. The role will support opportunity to Engage with our Consultant MSK Podiatrist in Research and Development, undertake post graduate qualifications, together with supporting and encouraging CPD and advanced practice in the Podiatry team.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will lead the delivery of Lower Limb Services for Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board (CTMUHB). They will work with the Lead for Lower Limb and Head of Services as an active member of the leadership team ensuring successful progression of Podiatry and Orthotics Services.
The post holder will be accountable for the delivery of the CTMUHB wide Lower Limb Service and through collaborative working with health and social care partners identify the Podiatric needs within the CTMUHB Population and plan approaches to deliver.
They will hold responsibility for the performance of the service and workforce development, conveying strategic and operation information to the team.
The post holder will :
Deliver service across the footprint of CTM the varying local needs and community infrastructure will require consideration.
Apply strategy across CTMUHB wide but taking into consideration local variation to influence the delivery and operational management will be essential.
Lead on projects, clinical audit and Quality Improvement with the Lower Limb Service.
Work with the Lead for Lower Limb to project manage the tasks and delegate accordingly to Teams clinicians as appropriate.
