Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Mental Health & Learning Disabilities Care Group as a Senior project manager, as we continue our improvement and transformation journey.
You will be joining the Business, Improvement, Strategy & Commissioning Directorate which provides specialist support and advice to the Mental Health & Learning Disabilities Care Group in terms of project/ change management and continuous improvement.
The Senior Project Manager will manage one or more specific large-scale projects across the organisation in collaboration with colleagues and partners including lead responsibility for the interpretation of national policy within the specialist area and be expected to be the planning lead with a high level of autonomy. The Senior Project Manager will manage the two established project staff.
There is opportunity for this to be a hybrid working role, with a minimum requirement to work from the various Cwm Taf Morgannwg Health Board sites, 2 to 3 days each week (with flexibility to be at various sites on additional days for events and meetings as required by the organisation). Interviews for this post will be required in person on site.

Main duties of the job
Project Leadership and Delivery: Managing one or more large-scale, complex, or multi-site projects from initiation to closure.
Strategic Planning: Aligning project objectives with CTMUHB strategic direction.
Performance and Reporting: Creating detailed reports, monitoring progress, identifying, and managing risks, and implementing corrective actions.
Stakeholder Engagement and Co-production: Ensuring a co-productive approach to service development. Liaising with senior management, Welsh Government, and partner organisations, facilitating service improvements.
Resource and Financial Management: Controlling project budgets, managing resources, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
Line management of project managers, including performance management, and mentorship.
Welsh Skills Desirable: This post is advertised as Welsh Desirable. This doesn't mean essential; whilst the candidate doesn't need to have skills in Welsh, we'll consider it an advantage when short-listing and selecting candidates. This isn't 'fluency', just Speaking & Listening skills at Level 3 (equivalent to CEFR B2) or above. Level 3 means basic conversations with patients about their everyday health.
