Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and flexible Healthcare Science Assistant to support the delivery of a high standard of service for our patients within our Respiratory and sleep diagnostic unit In Princess of Wales Hospital.
You will be supporting the patients journey from booking, helping during the diagnostic process and outcoming on completion. You will need to have previous experience of dealing with the public in a healthcare environment, a working knowledge of WPAS , excellent communication skills, the ability to prioritise own workload and interpersonal skills to work as part of a team within a busy environment.
English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply
Main duties of the job
Provide the administrative function and support to the clinical physiology team.
Contacting and booking patients. Insuring all the available slots are filled to maximise efficiency.
Supporting the patient's attendance in the department including meet and greeting patients, explaining the test procedures, providing help and support to the patients and physiology team as necessary during the procedure.
Ensuring the patients journey runs smoothly and efficiently through the unit.
Outcoming and explaining next steps.
