Job summary

An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, committed and dynamic Registered nurse to join our team on the Acute Medical Unit (AMU) at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital. Full and part time hours are available.

The acute medical unit is a busy 53 bedded unit, that provides acute care to patients admitted from their GP and Emergency Department. The ward is a fast paced unit and will give you an opportunity to develop and progress your skills in acute nursing care.

The team are hard working and committed and will support you in developing in your role as an acute medical nurse.

Main duties of the job

We want to invest in you, your education and your development. We aim to send all of our nurses on Advanced Life Support (ALS) and support your learning and educational needs by sending you on courses in the University of South Wales. We will offer a flexible approach to work as best as we can with your off duty requests as we acknowledge the need for having a healthy work life balance ensures the team are happy, which in turn ensures our patients receive the safest and most efficient care.

You will become part of a dynamic team who are dedicated to providing effective and quality care to our patients. You will be responsible for looking after a group of patients providing acute care/treatments to patients in the acute stage of their illness who are admitted from the GP and Emergency department.
