An exciting opportunity has arisen for a junior Head and Neck Cancer Specialist Nurse to join the team at Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board. The post holder will work towards being a clinical expert, acquiring the skills, specialist knowledge , expertise and credibility through direct clinical practice, training and support from the senior Head and Neck Cancer Specialist Nursing team across Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board
Main duties of the job
The post holder will work alongside the multi-professional team delivering care to patients with head and neck cancers. Will be involved with providing advice, support, and information from the time of diagnosis and throughout the patients care pathway from consultation, treatment, and aftercare. They will work as an integral member of the multi-disciplinary team to ensure a seamless service for patients, carers and staff. The successful candidate will be supported with the relevant education and training.
Welsh Skills Desirable: This post is advertised as Welsh Desirable. This doesn't mean essential; whilst the candidate doesn't need to have skills in Welsh, we'll consider it an advantage when short-listing and selecting candidates. This isn't 'fluency', just Speaking & Listening skills at Level 3 (equivalent to CEFR B2) or above. Level 3 means basic conversations with patients about their everyday health.
