Job summary
This post will join the team of consultants responsible for the provision of acute surgical services to the CTMUHB. The post will be part of the ENT Surgical team on call rota for emergency work.
The post will be required to support the delivery of outpatient, inpatient and emergency services for the local population and in doing so foster excellent working relationships within and the specialist area, including medical, nursing, secretarial and support staff, General Practitioners and Management Teams.
The post will be part of the 1:6 out of hour's on-call rota within Princess of Wales Hospital, Bridgend. This may be subject to change.
This post is fixed term for up to 6 months to cover a Deanery vacancy.

Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be one of several junior Doctors who will be supported by a team of consultants, middle grades, junior doctors and Nurse Practitioners.
The role will cover all aspects of acute surgical services working at junior doctor grade. This is an ideal opportunity for candidates who wish to gain wider experience in surgical specialties in an acute setting and help prepare them for higher training. The post holder will be required to work on the junior doctor on-call rota for Princess of Wales Hospital.
A wide range of general experience is a requirement, and special interests, which complement existing services, will be supported.
To assist within the sub speciality service of ENT Surgery.
