Job summary
The post holder will work as a member of the Physiotherapy administrative team with direct patient contact duties as well as and working with the wider physiotherapy and multi-disciplinary teams to effectively co-ordinate appointments to optimise clinical capacity. The post holder will work with Physiotherapy leads and administrative colleagues across the health-board, managing the team of administrative staff to ensure that patient care is delivered in a timely, efficient and effective manner.
The post holder will communicate politely and sensitively with patients, colleagues and other members of staff. An organised, flexible approach to the workload is essential, and an understanding of relevant clinical systems and work processing skills are required.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will work within clearly defined occupational policies to support the Physiotherapy Department to implement the appropriate monitoring and actioning of clinical pathways for service follow up activity.
The role will involve direct patient contact and working with the wider multi-disciplinary team to effectively co-ordinate appointments to optimise clinical capacity, using own initiative and managing a team of administrative staff to ensure that patient care is delivered in a timely, efficient and effective manner.
All appointment bookings must be managed in line with the 14-week Referral to Treatment Time (RTT) Pathways and follow up activity monitored to ensure appropriate patient outcomes are monitored and recorded appropriately adhering to Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board's access policy.

- Knowledge of administrative and clerical processes, procedures and systems acquired through training and experience to Vocational Level 3 or possess skills, knowledge and experience to its equivalency.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and office practices
- RSA Level 3 or equivalent typing qualification.
- Knowledge of IT systems and software programmes e.g. Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
- Knowledge of HR issues and policies.
- Good knowledge of UHB policies and procedures.

- ECDL or equivalent IT qualification
