Job summary
The successful candidate will be based at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital, Llantrisant, and will spend time at Prince Charles Hospital and Ysbyty Cwm Rhondda. They will complement the existing dermatology service across Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board and be expected to provide on average 7 clinical sessions per week. The dermatology consultants rotate between outpatients, ward work and subspecialty sessions. This allows protected time for audit, research and teaching and will facilitate the development of the dermatology service. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to service mapping and to service redesign within the new Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board.
The post holder's job plan will reflect the need to maintain and develop their clinical skills and
expertise although the central tenant of the role is focused on clinical leadership.

As a senior employee of the Health Board the post holder will work in close cooperation with, and support other clinical, medical professional and managerial colleagues in providing high quality healthcare to the Health Boards patients.

To provide effective leadership to all staff engaged in the specialty
To sustain and develop teaching and research wherever appropriate
