Job summary
The post holder will be an experienced practitioner in endoscopy/ gastroenterology nursing and possess specialist knowledge and skill relating to their own area of work.
The post holder will be responsible for the management of patient care with emphasis on safety, communication and education in health promotion during their stay in the endoscopy unit.
The post holder will be responsible for using their skills, knowledge and experience to promote a holistic and evidence based approach to patient care.
The post holder will assist the unit manager to help with the implementation of specialist policies and procedures for the endoscopy unit, which will ensure the highest standards of patient care within existing/current resources and which will ensure the highest standards and values and behaviours of CTMUHB.
The post holder will lead the service in Pre-Assessment and outreach for Endoscopy and ERCP.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will support the Unit Manager in the day to day running of the unit, maintaining a high standard of clinical monitoring, education and specialist advice for patients undergoing endoscopy procedures.
They will deputies in the absence of the Unit Manager and promote effective team working, by utilising managerial, supervisory and supportive skills, for the smooth running of the endoscopy unit.
Pre-assessment and outreach for Endoscopy and ERCP.
