Job summary
We are seeking highly motivated health care support workers to rise to the challenge of working on Ward 7 at Princess of Wales Hospital. Ward 7 is currently operating as a Trauma and Orthopaedic ward, with 28 beds.
You will work alongside the Ward Manger, the Deputy Ward Manager and Registered Nurses on this busy, challenging ward. You will be responsible for supporting the registered staff in delivering high quality nursing care for all patients requiring care intervention. Experience within a care setting would be preferential but not essential.
Main duties of the job
To be successful you will possess:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- To be self motivated, organised and flexible in your approach
- The ability to work on your own using your initiative, whilst demonstrating good team working skills and behaviours in order to be part of an already established team
- A clear vision for best practice
- An ability to develop relationships across professional and Organisational boundaries.
You will be supported during your orientation and development. Ongoing support will be provided through team meetings and development days. You can expect to have regular contact with the Ward Manager regarding your development. You will have access to further study and opportunities to expand your role in line with service development.
