Health Care Support Worker

Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Health Care Support Worker to join the Palliative Care. The post holder will work within the Palliative Care team, which provides a comprehensive multi-disciplinary assessment service for adults presenting with palliative care needs whilst in hospital. The successful candidate will be expected to work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure that a high standard of care is maintained across the unit.

Welsh Skills Desirable: This post is advertised as Welsh Desirable. This doesn't mean essential; whilst the candidate doesn't need to have skills in Welsh, we'll consider it an advantage when short-listing and selecting candidates. This isn't 'fluency', just Speaking & Listening skills at Level 3 (equivalent to CEFR B2) or above. Level 3 means basic conversations with patients about their everyday health. Main duties of the job

We are looking for a caring professional with a wide range of skills, and a commitment to excellence in practice.

We will provide a friendly and welcoming environment within a supportive management structure.

This is a fixed term /secondment post for 12 months to cover the needs of the service
