An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and committed Theatre Practitioners to undertake the role of Clinical Lead for Trauma and Orthopaedic within the Scrub speciality at Main Theatres, Princess of Wales Hospital.
From September 2025, Princess of Wales Main Theatres has been tasked with delivery a centralised Elective Arthroplasty initiative for Cwm Taff Morgannwg University Health board. The successful individual for this position with be tasked toprovide leadership to the team and drive forward innovative service change, in partnership with the Multidisciplinary Team.
Main duties of the job
The post holder is expected to be an excellent communicator with good interpersonal skills and extensive knowledge of Trauma and Elective Orthopaedic services within the Theatre setting. You will work in collaboration with a dynamic managerial team, experienced clinical practitioners and the wider Multi-Disciplinary Team. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented individual with inspirational leadership skills and an appetite for developing staff, service redesign and delivery of safe and excellent care. The post holder will work in collaboration with the senior management team, providing senior advice, support and strategic leadership, along with professional challenges.
You will have had demonstrable success in a management and a clinical role and established your credibility with multiple stakeholders. Most of all, you will be able to motivate and engage others to ensure that the services we provide supports the UHB values, as well as having a pioneering approach that is not afraid to challenge convention and traditional ways of working.
