Job summary

Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board is looking for an ambitious senior leader to take up this fantastic opportunity to be part of a truly integrated mental health & learning disabilities (MH&LD) system for the wellbeing of our communities and population.

This role supports key operational teams to deliver for the population today, whilst working across the care group to define and develop our future models. As the post holder, you will provide visible leadership, direction, financial control and vision. You will be part of the Leadership Team for the MH&LD Care Group and you will be required to work with other operational Directorate Managers and senior corporate colleagues to enable our collective vision to be delivered sustainably for our population.

You will have strong programme management skills, be highly organised, and have experience of commissioning. With a keen improvement and delivery mindset, you will be capable of working collaboratively with our people and partners. You will possess the necessary passion, energy and credibility to delivery now and in the future.

Main duties of the job

You will have delivery responsibility for:

  • All commissioned services for people with MH&LD through the independent sector, other Health Boards, Local Authorities and the Third Sector
  • Performance reporting, analysis and improvement plans
  • Strategic and transformational improvement projects which will change on a regular basis based on need and priorities
  • Sustainable financial delivery
  • Digital improvement and system implementation
