Job summary
Do you have excellent organisational and communication skills and a flexible approach to work, have the ability to deal with distressed and irate patients/carers with sensitivity and diplomacy.
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to work as an Administrative Assistant within the Mental Health Medical Records Team. The successful candidate will need to be forward thinking and be able to provide a full range of administrative duties. Your main role will be the processing and co ordination of Subject Access Requests (SAR), Cancellation of Clinics and also covering Mental Health Outpatient Clinics as and when required. This role will require you to be organised, have excellent attention to detail to meet the requirements of this role.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will have excellent administrative skills with experience in using Microsoft Packages, ideally in a similar role and be able to prioritise work to meet tight deadlines. A good general education along relevant experiences and an NVQ in Business Administration III. or willing to work towards. Knowledge of University Health Board IT systems including Myrddin, WCCIS and FACE is also desirable although full training will be given.
The successful candidate will be able to work in a challenging environment and have a sensitive, caring and non-judgemental attitude to issues faced by people with mental health problems.

This doesn't mean essential; whilst the candidate doesn't need to have skills in Welsh, we'll consider it an advantage when short-listing and selecting candidates. This isn't 'fluency', just Speaking & Listening skills at Level 3 (equivalent to CEFR B2) or above. Level 3 means basic conversations with patients about their everyday health.
