Job summary
The Hotel Services supervisor will provide service guidance and support to staff responsible for service delivery, quality and monitoring and improving efficiency within the Hotel Services departments and at ward and department level at a community hospital and healthcare setting.
The post holder will operate as a supervisor at Princess of Wales Hospital where specified for specific services namely.
Housekeeping Services ensuring that services are delivered to agreed specification, resources are adequate and available, staffing levels are maintained.
Main duties of the job
This will include:
- As a supervisor working on a rota to lead teams of staff in service delivery operations namely; , Housekeeping Services, as directed by the Facilities Management, ensuring the successful completion of work tasks to agreed specification standards of performance and quality.
- Responsible for the day to day supervision of Hotel Services staff undertheir control.
- Ensuring the safe and efficient management of all services in accordance with legislation, policy and procedures and maintaining compliance, e.g. food safety policies, NHS National Standards of Cleanliness, hospital waste including, domestic, clinical and confidential waste is collected/disposed of in line with the current legal regulations.
