Job summary
These posts offer an opportunity to work within the Medical Records storage hub supporting the Medical Records Department. The posts will involve the retrieval and filing of case notes, in addition to scanning documentation. The successful candidates will need to work as a team and be trained in all streams of work being undertaken within the Hub. On the job training will be provided and the successful candidates will need to be numerate and literate and be able to work under pressure.
Main duties of the job
Duties include record filing/retrieval, receipt/dispatch, electronic tracking and digitising paper records. Candidates must be numerate, literate, work well under pressure and understand patient confidentiality, with good communication and keyboard skills. Previous experience is desirable but training is provided.
This is very physical work in a large warehouse with tight deadlines. Staff will retrieve and file records on high and low shelves, using safety ladders, moving case notes via appropriate trolleys and cages.
