Job summary
Applications are invited for enthusiastic, motivated and committed individual to join our friendly and dynamic teams within the respiratory and acute medicine at Princess of Wales Hospital. This is an exciting hybrid post in Respiratory/Acute medicine.
This post is fixed term for 12 months due to a possible department re-structure.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will have training and specialist certification in Respiratory and general medicine, and will provide a safe and efficient specialist respiratory service for Princess of Wales Hospital while contributing to acute medicine service requirements.
Key duties include:
- Contribute to high demand respiratory speciality activities along with colleague in department.
- Contribute to delivery of care for patients with complex respiratory needs in secondary care.
- Deliver care for patients on the Acute Medical Unit (AMU).
- Provide senior clinical decision making during on call cover.
- Participate in general medicine on call rota.
- Participate in job planning and appraisal. Post holder will be required to maintain their continuing professional development for successful revalidation.
- Undertake statutory and mandatory training and essential to job role training determined by the department and organisation.
