The post: Senior clinical fellow in Emergency Medicine
The post will offer the candidates opportunities for career development, through Life Support courses, Clinical Audit, Grand Round Presentations, Complaints Management, development and/or updating of Care Pathways, support and mentoring of medical students and Juniors, bedside ultrasound and a bespoke senior weekly consultant lead teaching programme. There are the opportunities to continue working in our team and develop your portfolio for CESR application.
This post is fixed term for up to 12 months.

Main duties of the job
The post is designed for individuals who would like to gain experience in their chosen speciality interest while working in EM in WALES. The post is for 12 months and you will be expected to work a rota including nights and weekends. The responsibilities of the post include the following:
Contribute to the Emergency service at Prince Charles Hospital
Participate in the initial assessment, treatment, referral and disposition of patients attending the Emergency Department, with an emphasis on paediatric emergency medicine.
Liaise with other members of the clinical team and other specialties
Work a shift pattern including nights and weekends.
To participate in QIP and Governance.
To attend senior teaching
Be an active part of teaching to the juniors
Run the Shop out of hours while supporting the juniors and Nursing staff.
