An exciting opportunity to work as part of an experienced Team in Cardiology in an acute setting CCU.
The successful candidate will be able to display a good level of autonomy and management skills and will frequently lead the Team on shift.
Enthusiastic, highly motivated and clinically credible, you will rise to the challenge of providing an high standard of care within a busy 8 bedded Coronary Care.
Main duties of the job
THIS POST IS FIXED TERM/SECONDMENT FOR 9 MONTHS DUE TO MATERNITY COVER.
IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN APPLYING FOR THE SECONDMENT POSITION, YOU MUST OBTAIN PERMISSION FROM YOUR CURRENT LINE MANAGER PRIOR TO APPLYING FOR THIS POST.
You will also have the energy, drive and expertise to become part of a well-established team. You will assist in providing leadership, support to the Nursing team and other professional colleagues, and play a key role in developing all grades of staff. You will also work closely with the Senior Nurse and Unit manager to deliver measurable quality improvement in all aspects of the patient's experience.
To be successful you will have significant experience at aBand 5 within a Cardiac Care setting and will have developed an in-depth knowledge of cardiac nursing.
You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work on your own initiative while assisting in leading a team of nurses. A clear vision for best practise is essential together with a reputation for professional innovation.
Ongoing support will be provided through clinical supervision, team meetings and development days. You can expect to have regular appraisals and a personal development plan, with access to further study and opportunities to expand your role in line with service developments.
