Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic Registered General Nurse to work in our Coronary Care Unit which is a level 2, Cardiology Unit. We are looking for an applicant with a keen interest in expanding their knowledge, skills and experience in cardiology nurse in a supportive environment. The unit has 8 monitored beds and also supports remote monitoring from other areas in the hospital via Telemetry channels.
This post is fixed term for 12 months to cover a secondment. If you are interested in applying for it as a secondment, please obtain permission from your current line manager prior to applying.
Main duties of the job
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced qualified nurse to join the team of experienced nurses working in the Coronary Care Unit within the Directorate of Medicine/A+E at Royal Glamorgan Hospital.You will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge by nursing patients with acute Cardiology/Medical conditions. You will be supported during your orientation and development. Ongoing support will be provided through clinical supervision, team meetings and development days. You can expect to have regular appraisals and a personal development plan.The post is rotational between day and night duty.
