Job summary
A job opportunity has arisen for two candidates to join part of our busy Hotel Services Team on Site at Keir Hardie University Health Park at Merthyr Tydfil.
The positions will support the Facilities (Hotel Services) team in delivering Catering and Housekeeping services to the National Standards for these services in NHS Wales, HIW standard 5 and 9 and Organisational Standards.
To assist in developing, maintaining and promoting the highest standards of service delivery and team working practices; and helping to maintain open, effective communication.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidates will be required to work within a patient and coffee shop environment and previous experience would be an asset.
The main duties of the post include general Catering duties within the Coffee Shop facility and to provide patient feeding service within the Patient Day Unit in accordance with departmental schedules and specifications and in line with all Food Safety legislation , alsoin the event of service pressure and according to the Job Description requirements of this role successful candidates may be required to perform cleaning duties.
Flexibility is essential and the successful candidates will be expected to adapt to service pressures and modernization.
The successful candidates would need to be flexible with regard to movement throughout all Health Board sites.
The successful candidate must observe and maintain the highest standards of confidentiality, courtesy and consideration to all patients and fellow employees.
