Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity for experienced Mental Health Nurses to work within the CAMHS Crisis Liaison/Single Point of Access Team based in Tonteg Hospital.
The CAMHS Service has a number of bases across the locality which includes Tonteg Hospital, Carnegie Clinic in Rhondda, KHHP in Merthyr and Princess of Wales Hospital, Bridgend.
Main duties of the job
The post holders will manage their own caseload and provide timely assessment, risk management and follow up intervention for children and young people presenting in crisis related to mental health eg. acute psychosis, eating disorder or intent to inflict harm upon themselves and/or others.
To provide triage, assessments of all referrals in to the service, establish the most appropriate sign posting and allocation of the referral to meet the needs of the young person.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
