Job summary
An opportunity has arisen at Prince Charles Hospital for 2 x 20hrs Linen Assistant posts.
If successful the post holder will be responsible for the daily organisation and delivery of clean linen to patients.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will ensure that there are adequate linen stock available at all times on Wards and Departments, receive deliveries of clean linen stock from laundry service suppliers and deliver adequate linen supplies to wards and departments.
Also ensure that quality standards are maintained and any quality issues are escalated to the appropriate line manager.
The post holder will also be responsible for the safe storage and organisation of the linen storage room.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Duties include :
- Use tact when dealing with Users/Departments eg. when explaining where and why part of their linen order has not been delivered.
Provide advice regarding lost linen, changes to daily requirements for Users/Departments.
Need to explain why the requirements of an order have changed and provide explanations as to delays or changes.
Required to provide re-assurances that deadlines will be met for distributing their linen, and that the balance of an order will be delivered at the earliest possible time.
