Job summary
The bank worker will be responsible for the provision of a safe and dignified transferral of deceased persons between the three acute mortuary sites at The Royal Glamorgan, Prince Charles and Princess of Wales hospitals respectively, driving the mortuary services' Private Ambulance, in accordance with the requirements of the service, on behalf of Cwm Taf Morgannwg, University Health Board.
Occasional transfers of deceased from Community Hospital mortuaries at Ysbyty Cwm Rhondda, Ysbyty Cwm Cynon also Ysbyty George Thomas, as and when required.
The bank worker will be sufficiently physically fit and strong enough, to move heavy weights on trolleys on a regular basis throughout the working week.
Manual handling training will be provided and training for correct usage of equipment will also be provided.

Main duties of the job
The bank worker will be required to:
Operate the mortuary's private ambulance in accordance with the provision of the service.
Must be in possession of an up-to-date UK Driver's license.
Ensure that all deceased are cared for and transported with dignity, care and in line with current legislation and guidance.
Organise and co-ordinate the daily caseload to ensure that required tasks are undertaken and completed in a timely manner.
