Job summary
This post offers an opportunity for two individuals with administrative experience to join the Medical Records Department in the Princess of Wales Hospital.
The successful candidates will be part of the Outpatient Booking Team and will be responsible for providing a comprehensive Outpatient service for Outpatient Clinics, following appropriate systems, procedures, policies and processes.
The post holders will work independently to defined policies and procedures and will be required to book appointments adhering to RTT guidelines and provide reception duties.
Main duties of the job
- Appoint patients using the appropriate Patient Administration System (PAS).
- Manage Outpatient Waiting Lists adhering to RTT guidelines.
- Answer telephone queries and, if unable to resolve the issue, pass on information to the relevant professionals in a timely manner.
- Be expected to deal sympathetically and compassionately with patients.
- Provide an Outpatient Reception Service.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
