Job summary
To provide a comprehensive secretarial service, following appropriate systems, procedures, policies and processes, to one of the Health Boards Consultant Restorative Surgeons and his/her team.
Main duties of the job
Routine typing and audio typing of clinical correspondence. Managing
Consultant's diaries, prioritising results, organising clinical activity and patient admissions. Liaising with patients, GP's and outside Health Boards to provide treatment and care.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

- RSA III in word processing or equivalent level of knowledge or experience
- Working as an assistant medical secretary or similar role in a health service. Working to tight deadlines. Able to determine priorities.
- Waiting list management and RTT experience.
- Good understanding of Office Software packages (Wordprocessing, Spreadsheets, Databases, Email and Presentation).
Desirable
- ECDL (European Computer Driving Licence)
- Knowledge of Health Board procedures.
- Working as a Medical Secretary undertaking a supervisory role.
