Job summary
The post holder will contribute to the provision of healthcare for the Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board (CTMUHB) by delivering a porter/driver service which meets all organisational and legislative standards and support the vaccination and immunisation service along with the wider Heath Protection function, with a commitment to working within a safety and quality framework.
Main duties of the job
Support the Senior Administration Manager in the delivery of porter/driver services at the community and locality sites, and ensure a safe and high quality service is delivered to patients, staff and visitors in accordance with service specifications and site requirements.
The post holder will be required to perform supplementary duties to respond to service needs, including administration functions, that are appropriate to the vaccination and immunisations along with Health Protection function and in line with their banding.
There will be a requirement to drive a community vehicle transporting specimens, mail and equipment as well as delivering and collecting vaccines to/from health and social care sites across CTMUHB. The post holder will also support the delivery as and when required to the wider Health Protection service.

Essential
- Full driving license - Cat B license holders with a Cat D1 driver entitlement to drive UHB vehicles.
- Educated to a good standard of education possess relevant work experience.
- Customer services NVQ level 2 or equivalent level of knowledge and experience.
Desirable
- Health and Safety qualifications.
- Computer qualifications e.g. ECDL.
Knowledge/Experience
Essential
- Basic knowledge of health and safety, COSHH, violence and aggression and safe systems of work at the workplace.
- Knowledge of confidentiality compliance.
- Working within a busy customer focused and productive work environment (preferably within a healthcare setting).
- Experienced driving different type/model vehicles.
- Excellent customer service and care skills.
- Dependable and reliable.
- Ability to travel within geographical area in a timely manner.
- To be able to adapt to an unpredicted workload Able to work hours flexibly.
