Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent Band 6 Operational Support Manager within the Unscheduled Care Group to join the Specialty Medicine Directorate.
We are seeking to appoint a motivated, enthusiastic individual who is looking to further develop their career in operational management to join our team based at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital.
The Specialty Medicine Directorate covers Cardiology, Respiratory, Diabetes & Endocrine and Rheumatology and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with the specialty clinical leads to deliver against referral to treatment and cancer performance targets.
The successful applicant will be responsible for the delivery of high quality, safe and effective services in line with national and locally agreed standards.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide project and managerial support encompassing a broad range of activities across the Specialty Medicine Directorate. This will involve providing project management support in a number of areas, including the monitoring and reporting of activity and waiting times information and data. This will involve evaluating project outcomes and providing recommendations for consideration.
The post holder will also provide support to the management of medical staffing rotas and management of administrative and clerical staff within the Care Group.
