Job summary
We are looking for a bright, ambitious Contracts & Purchasing Performance Manager to join our Estates team at Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board.
We are looking for someone who has a strong record of managing & delivering a customer focused contracts management service as well as responsibility of managing a stores service.
You will be responsible for leading a team of estates storekeepers, where the quality of service and strong financial management are key drivers of the post.
The role will involve working closely with the Estates Department admin team and with the wider Health Board central procurement department, along with the Shared Services procurement services ensuring contracts are in place and value for money is achieved for the Estates Department.
This is a key role within our operational team, and we are keen to recruit a motivated individual who will help us to provide the high levels of service we continually strive to provide.
The base for the post will be Dewi Sant Health Park, Pontypridd, however regular travel between sites within the CTMUHB region will be a requirement, with occasional requirements to attend meetings outside of the region, so access to a vehicle and a full driving license will be essential.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job
To manage the Estates maintenance contracts, and process. Through specification development, tender, appointment. Managing contract performance on a regular frequency, in line with set SLA's or KPI's. Working in partnership with CTMUHB procurement, and Shared Services procurement to appoint suitable suppliers, contracts and contractors, that provide a high level of service, quality and show value for money.
Ensures compliance with statutory and local policies, standards, and procedures throughout the process.
Responsible for the Estates stores department management. Manging a small team of store manager and store persons. Providing purchases are in line with policy, and ensuring that value for money and savings are achieved wherever possible. Essential that critical spares are available to the maintenance teams as and when required to be able to maintain services for patients, staff and visitors.
To develop the contract and stores process to provide a first class service.
The post holder will have significant autonomy to act within broad occupational policies, reporting to their line manager where appropriate.
