Job summary

We are looking for an experienced Emergency Nurse with post registration experience as a Band 5 in emergency care. This individual will have a clear track record of enthusiasm, drive and a commitment to improving the experience of people using our services. The post holder will support the current Emergency Department Senior Nurse and the Senior Sisters in ensuring the highest standard of nursing care is provided, monitored and evaluated.

You will be someone who has change management skills and demonstrates a high level of commitment to seeing plans through within agreed timescales. You will be a team player and have the skills to rapidly develop effective leadership of an established nursing team.

Evidence of recent education is essential and an up-to-date ALS/EPLS and TNCC/level 1 Trauma training is highly essential.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be a clinical expert and will be regularly in charge of the Emergency department working closely with our consultant colleagues to ensure the safety and comfort for our patients.

Your duties will include being responsible for tasks such as off duty, managing a small group of staff, attending meetings and handling complaints along with completion of PDR's and sickness management.

It is essential you have a special interest that you would like to carry forward as a project to ensure that we are constantly improving.

You must possess excellent communication skills and demonstrate the ability to form productive professional relationships with colleagues.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
