Job summary
Community staff Nurse various hours within the Integrated Services within Bridgend.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified and experienced Registered Nurse to join District Nursing Service in Bridgend. The applicant must be a Registered Nurse, be confident and competent in a wide range of clinical skills and demonstrate evidence of continuing professional development. There is a requirement for a flexible approach to work and an ability to travel between sites in a timely manner.
The Community Staff Nurse is responsible for the delivery of prescribed nursing care to patients on a day to day basis. This would include the holistic assessment of patient care needs and the development, implementation and evaluation of evidence based care. The post holder will be autonomous in his/her clinical practice while acknowledging their limitations and actively seek advice as necessary.
Main duties of the job
There are multiple demands in this exciting role due to the challenging nature of providing care for patients outside of the hospital environment. The post-holder will however find themselves well supported by a very friendly and enthusiastic team of health and social care staff.
The post is initially based with a District Nursing Team in the Bridgend West area, although you could be asked to work anywhere within the its locality to meet the needs of the Service.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
