Registered Nurse - Ward 9

Job summary

We are looking for a Band 5 registered nurse to join Ward 9, an ENT surgical ward, in the Royal Glamorgan Hospital. The successful candidate will be required to have an interest in the management and care of surgical ENT patients with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Main duties of the job

We are a welcoming team of nurses and doctors who work well as a team. We also have a close link with the multi-disciplinary team involved in caring for our patients. We will ensure that you are supported in the care of head and neck patients and offer an excellent opportunity to learn new skills with our support and guidance.

Staff will be required to be well organised and have time good time management skills and the ability to work as part of a team or on their own initiative with high standards.There will be opportunities for internal development as the University Health Board has a dedicated training and development department offering a wide range of in house courses. We also have close links with the University of Glamorgan to support your ongoing professional development which you will be required to demonstrate as part of revalidation.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh applicants are equally welcome to apply.
