Job summary
We have an opportunity for Band 5 Registered Nurses on the 14 bedded Critical Care Unit at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital.
This includes 6 Intensive Care Beds and 4 High Dependency Beds.
The Critical Care Unit will offer an exciting range of experiences caring for the critically ill adult.
It also offers Post Anaesthetic Care experience in our 4 bedded PACU. caring for an interesting variety of post operative surgical patients.
There is a comprehensive training package available over atwo year period.We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated registered nurses with experience in an acute setting.
The candidates must be able to work as part of a team, be good communicators and ensure the highest standard of patient care.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job
You will be trained over a 6 - 8 week period to care for Critically unwell patients who require 1 nurse to 1 patient (ITU) or 1 Nurse -2 patients (HDU) We now have an excellent Practice Facilitator in post to support you in your progress.
You will be part of a successful team that encourages a work ethic of working together and supporting one another to achieve the best care for the patient.
