The Practice Educator will provide coordination, lead process standardisation, manage and lead newly developed Standard Operating Procedures. The Practice Educator will help drive education and training across all specialties through efficient forward planning. They will work collaboratively with stakeholders including national bodies such as Association for Peri operative Practice, National Performance Advisory Group HIW, NICE and the AAGBI to ensure continuous improvement.
The Practice Educator will contribute to the provision of health care to the people of Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board (CTMUHB) with the responsibility for supporting frontline clinical staff with continuous learning and professional development to facilitate these staff to be skilled professionals to care for patients in the peri-operative care environment.

Main duties of the job
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Princess of Wales Hospital Theatres team as a Perioperative Practice Educator.
We are searching for an energetic, hardworking, and an individual committed to the professional development of the theatre workforce, our student population and yourself. You will work closely with the speciality managers and the theatre team to plan, deliver and evaluate training and practice development activity within the department.
You must possess perioperative care experience with in-depth knowledge and understanding of perioperative care practice. You must be able to translate this into training for our staff, in order to ensure we provide quality evidence based care to our patients. As part of your role you will be expected to commit time to clinical practice supporting the theatre team.
