CTM currently has a team of 31 radiologists, as well as 8 reporting radiographers who report musculoskeletal and chest x-rays, as well as CT colon and CT head. We also have consultant breast radiographers working within the HB and have embraced role expansion at an early stage.
Applicants should either be on the specialist register, or a trainee within 6 months of their CCT at time of interview.
The candidate will have a nuclear medicine interest which will involve team working on 2 hospital sites (Royal Glamorgan Hospital/PETIC UHW). The post holder will be based at Royal Glamorgan Hospital with sessions at University Hospital of Wales, and contribute to the on call rota at CTMUHB.
This post is fixed term for 6months, due to meet the needs of the service.
Main duties of the job
Cwm Taf Morgannwg UHB provides comprehensive Radiology services to the local population. The successful candidate will be expected to provide all aspects of Core Radiology with subspecialist interest in nuclear medicine and PET imaging with a further subspecialty welcome. Sessions will take place at the Positron Emission Tomography imaging Centre (PETIC) in Cardiff. Regular attendance and contribution to the Multidisciplinary meetings is expected. The successful applicant is expected to take an active role in education within the Health Board. This is a new post.
