We are looking for experienced mental health nurses to join our busy and dynamic Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Team. The successful candidate will need to be enthusiastic and demonstrate a positive attitude in leading future change and development to ensure high standards of care are available to our service users.

We have an exciting opportunity for 2two Band 6 RMN's to join the Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Team (CRHTT)at the Mental Health Unit at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital.

The CRHTT work closely with the inpatient and community teams to support individuals experiencing mental health crisis./distress.

The successful candidate will be:

* An experienced clinician working with service users at varying phases of their mental health

* Passionate about making a difference for individuals and their families during their personal journey.

* Ambitious to work within this challenging role, in a challenging environment , with real scope to develop and influence practice.

Main duties of the job

To provide urgent psychiatric assessment to those considered to be in mental health crisis/distress.

Act as gatekeepers for hospital admission, working as part of a multi disciplinary team to provide safe and effective home treatment as an alternative to admission.

Work with inpatient services to support early discharge from the acute inpatient wards.

Work collaboratively with service users and family/carers, enabling and empowering an individuals recovery journey.

The successful candidate will need to be an enthusiastic, resilient and committed practitioner who is proactive but also an effective team player.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
