Job summary
We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join our Hand Therapy team in Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board.
Based at Ysbyty Cwm Cynon hospital, this static Band 6 Occupational Therapist role will provide specialist clinical assessment, education, splinting and rehabilitation services to our upper-limb,f post-surgery and trauma patients within the local area. The post holder will manage a dynamic clinical caseload whilst working imperatively within the team to drive the service forward through ongoing developments, improvements, audit and research.

Main duties of the job
Acting within their professional boundaries, the post holder will provide support and intervention for the presenting patient group through holistic person- centred assessment and intervention.
The post holder will demonstrate safe clinical decision -making, maintaining up to date with recent evidence-based literature.
The successful applicant will have a role in supporting the development of the service and will also have responsibility to support students on placement from Occupational Therapy programmes.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
