Job summary

A part time Band 6 Occupational Therapy post has become available within the Paediatric Occupational Therapy Team Cwm Taf Morgannwg UHB. The successful post holder will be part of an enthusiastic and dedicated team of Occupational Therapists and Therapy technicians, working in a variety of settings to deliver services to children and young people with complex needs. You will be afforded the opportunity to contribute to or lead service delivery and quality improvement and to develop advanced clinical skills.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible for providing specialist assessment and interventions to children and young people, delivering an occupation focused service to enable and empower. The role will also involve leading on appropriate developments to enhance the quality of services within available resources. The post holder will be based at The Children's Centre, Ysbyty Cwm Cynon, however will be expected to work across the children centre's and across the CTMUHB area as required. The post holder will be required to work 22.5 hours flexibly to meet the needs of the service at venues throughout the UHB. The successful applicant will need to be a team player, who is flexible in approach, resourceful and keen to demonstrate the distinctive contribution and added value that an Occupational Therapist can offer the multidisciplinary team. You will need excellent communication skills and be able to demonstrate a genuine interest in achieving well-being and positive health outcomes for children and young people.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
