To be an ambassador for the Health Board as the first line of contact for patients, relatives, visitors, staff, General Practitioners and other external bodies
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be required to answer the telephone in a professional, confident manner due to the variety and nature of calls.
The post holder will also be required to deal with emergency calls calmly and efficiently in a fast moving environment 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The post holder will be required to operate the hospital switchboard on a rota basis to maintain a 24/7 service, including weekends and bank holidays.
We're looking for people who are able to speak conversational Welsh. You don't need to have to be able to read or write Welsh, just to be able to hold very short conversations on simple matters such as where a patient may be or where a ward is. Maybe you went to a Welsh medium school, or maybe you learnt some Welsh elsewhere. If you have some Welsh, please apply and any training needed will be provided to you.
