Job summary
Are you passionate about education and the development of yourself and others? If so an exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified and experienced Healthcare Professional from a Nursing/Midwifery or AHP background to work with the HCSW Team in the implementation of the All Wales Clinical HCSW Career and Skills Framework. for all health and social care staff, including the development, planning, co-ordination, facilitation and delivery of the HCSW Foundation Programme and other associated training.
The post holder will support the delivery of training autonomously and provide instruction for clinical elements of the All Wales NHS Clinical HCSW Induction Programme, undertaking assessment of learning, and maintaining up to date records of learning and development, in line with policy and procedure.
Main duties of the job
Guided by National and professional policies, the post holder will work as part of the Health Care Support Worker (HCSW) and Interprofessional Education team to ensure effective delivery of the clinical induction programme for HCSW's in the Health and Social Care setting, and the ongoing delivery of the Framework to include assessment of competencies in practice.
The post holder will be key in supporting HCSW development and lead in development of the HCSW role within the health and social care setting across all disciplines, creating career pathways and guiding and supporting our unregistered workforce.
The post holder will work closely with the HCSW Development and Education Lead to support the monitoring and evaluation of the Clinical Induction programme at a local and all wales level.
They will participate and support the development of a joint Social and Health Care induction programme and support HCSW's across all disciplines who are undertaking course leading to a relevant qualification.The post holder will support the development of the Trainee Assistant Practitioners and Assistant Practitioners.
They will communicate with other health professionals advising on effective teaching development and assessment techniques in the clinical area, and undertake assessments in clinical practice where necessary.
